From Reference Images to a Finalized Solution: How We Built a Reliable Pixel Bar System for a Client in Indonesia
In stage visual engineering, every dynamic frame and every shift of light affects the emotional impact of the live experience. To bring a designer’s vision to life, equipment alone is not enough — a stable, fully executable system is essential.
This time, we worked with a stage engineering client from Indonesia. The story began with a few reference images he sent us, asking whether we could supply similar pixel bar products and whether they would be compatible with Madrix or Resolume control software.
Those images marked the beginning of a collaboration that would take us from initial needs all the way to a fully developed solution.
01 | Understanding the Client’s Real Needs From a Single Image
After reviewing the client’s reference images, we quickly identified the core requirement: he wasn’t looking for ordinary pixel bar led — he needed a professional video bar system capable of creating large-scale dynamic visuals.

02 | Requirements Not Clear Enough? We Guide the Client to Prepare the Key Information
When the client told us the estimated purchase quantity, we didn’t stay at the level of product introduction — instead, we proactively sent him a system connection diagram.
Then we guided him further:“If you have a project sketch, we can help you calculate the controller ports and the number of connectors much more accurately.”
Stage projects are never just about “how many lights to buy.” They are about how to deploy the system on-site so it’s stable, evenly lit, and visually consistent. Our role is to proactively fill in the gaps the client may overlook.
03 | Optimizing the Control System Based on Real Stage Usage

Based on the client’s venue conditions and operating habits, we recommended: a controller with a built-in power supply and 8 output ports.

04 | A Small Story From the Pricing Stage: We Chose Understanding and Support
When the project entered the pricing stage, a small episode happened. The client’s company owner, who is of Chinese descent, was extremely strict about cost control. After multiple rounds of discussion, he proposed a very challenging target range — a price level usually seen only in large-scale engineering projects.
Although this meant the profit on the first order would be very limited, and even the original commission rate had to be reduced due to the client’s budget, we still chose to support this new customer.
Because we understood: for a first cooperation, it’s completely reasonable that the client has not yet built full trust. What we can do is prove value through quality first, and let trust grow naturally after that.
05 | A Small Hiccup With the Trade Assurance Order: We Kept the Pace Steady to Reassure the Client
The client insisted on using Alibaba Trade Assurance for the first transaction to ensure transparency in the process and the security of funds. This was completely understandable. For a first-time collaboration, the client's caution was entirely justified. However, after the payment was completed, the system still showed "unpaid," causing the client to worry whether the funds had been properly received.
We immediately took action and assisted the client in verifying each step: Whether the receiving account matched If the Trade Assurance order was linked to the correct account Whether there was a normal delay in the Alibaba system
Once we confirmed all the details were correct, we reassured the client: "Rest assured, your payment is secure. Alibaba's backend usually takes a little time to update."
A few hours later, the order status updated successfully, and the client's concerns were fully resolved. This small hiccup only strengthened the client's trust in our familiarity with the process and our ability to handle it smoothly.
