"Is your CRI 95 the average CRI, or does it include an R9 of 90+?"
We explained the two levels of CRI 95:

① Average CRI (Ra) of 95
When the average Color Rendering Index (Ra) reaches 95, it means the light source maintains very high consistency across the standard eight basic test colors (R1–R8), providing natural color representation with no color bias. This CRI level is sufficient for most scenarios requiring accurate color rendering. However, for certain challenging saturated colors, especially deep reds, Ra may not fully reflect the true performance of the light source. Therefore, R9, which measures the light source's ability to render highly saturated reds, becomes particularly important, as it is an essential indicator for assessing professional-grade color rendering performance.

We shared the real test data from our recent production batches with her, showing that R9 was consistently above 95, with some batches even reaching close to 98. These clear data points allowed her to see the true professional color rendering capabilities of our products. In the industry, this level of CRI configuration is considered a mainstream high-performance option, offering excellent color performance while also being more cost-effective. As a result, it is widely used in applications such as lightboxes and commercial spaces, where color accuracy is critical.

② Professional CRI with R9 ≥ 95
This level of CRI is essential for high red color reproduction, primarily used in fields like photography, studios, and medical applications. The cost of these LEDs is much higher, significantly increasing the overall price.

Her project involves lightbox and lighting fixture applications, where extreme R9 standards are not necessary. Therefore, she opted for the version with an average CRI of 95, which ensured quality while staying within budget.
She clearly stated:
"I’m willing to spend a bit more, but I can’t afford to waste costs on unnecessary specifications."
This technical mutual understanding made the communication smooth and efficient.
