Chip Scale Package LED Strip | Next-Generation Lighting Efficiency Solution

As the demand for lighting efficiency, reliability, and adaptability across various scenarios continues to grow, solutions that combine high brightness, uniform light color, flexibility, and long-term stability have become core market demands. LW Lighting's CSP (Chip Scale Package) chip-level packaged LED strip lights have emerged as an important development direction for the next generation of light sources.
As the high luminous efficacy and excellent plasticity, CSP LED strips can cover a variety of lighting scenarios, including:
  • Indoor Lighting: CSP white LED strips are ideal for residential, commercial, and architectural lighting applications where uniform and comfortable illumination is required. They can be used for under-cabinet lighting, display cabinets, furniture, and other indoor spaces.
  • Commercial space accent lighting: Suitable for retail stores, showrooms, and restaurants, enhancing display ambiance and visual effects.
  • Outdoor architectural lighting: The CSP LED strip is ideal for gardens, balconies, and terraces, adapting to changing outdoor environments.
  • Residential lighting: Meets the basic and ambient lighting needs of spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens.
  • Advertising signage: High brightness and uniform lighting ensure clear and striking visuals.
  • Automotive and marine lighting: Can adapt to curved or narrow installation structures, providing reliable supplementary lighting.
  • Stage and entertainment lighting: Works with intelligent control systems to create effects like multi-color temperature changes and dynamic flowing light.
The CSP LED strip not only enhances the lighting performance and spatial aesthetics of projects but also marks a new developmental phase in the LED strip technology cycle, becoming one of the innovative representatives of modern LED flexible LED strip lighting.

What is CSP LED Strip?

CSP LED strips, short for Chip Scale Package LED strips, are a new type of LED flexible LED strip developed using CSP (Chip Scale Package) + FPC flexible substrate technology. In simple terms, CSP refers to the LED chip itself, which is a form of LED packaging with no bracket, no gold wire, the smallest size, and the simplest structure. By applying CSP packaging technology to strip light LED lights, we get the "CSP LED strip."

CSP LED Strip vs COB LED Strip: Key Differences

COB LED Strip uses flip-chip technology with a phosphor coating on the surface. The phosphor is excited to achieve the desired color temperature, providing uniform light without noticeable granularity. It is suitable for large-area, even lighting, such as LED under cabinet light strips or other commercial and residential applications.
In contrast, CSP LED strips use flip-chip LEDs that emit color on their own, with a protective layer of white silicone encapsulation. This results in a stable and uniform light color. CSP LED strips have a more compact structure and excellent heat dissipation, making them ideal for installations with higher space requirements or more complex shapes, such as strip light LED applications.
In terms of visual effects, COB LED strips may show yellowish colloid in frosted aluminum channels, while CSP LED strips covered with white silicone deliver more uniform light when paired with aluminum channels, without any yellowish traces.
Characteristics COB LED Strip CSP LED Strip
Packaging Structure Flip-chip + Phosphor Flip-chip LED + White Silicone
Light Uniformity High High
Compactness Average More compact, excellent heat dissipation
Appearance Possible yellowish colloid Even light color, no yellow traces
