RGBCW represents five different light sources: Red (R), Green (G), Blue (B), Cold White (CW), and Warm White (WW). Precautions
- Before Installation: Ensure the correct parameters are matched to the scene to avoid the risk of "mis-matching."
- Protection Rating Adaptation: Choose the appropriate IP rating based on the installation environment. For humid environments (such as kitchen cabinets or bathroom mirrors), select IP65 or higher waterproof models. For outdoor semi-open environments (such as outdoor bar areas), it is recommended to use IP67. For dry indoor environments (such as gym classrooms or KTV rooms), IP20 is suitable. Using non-waterproof models in humid environments can lead to water ingress, short circuits, and damage to the LED strip lights.
- Power and Power Supply Matching: The total power must be calculated based on the LED strip length (for example, 12W per meter, so for 5 meters, it would be 60W). Choose a dedicated driver with a power rating ≥ 1.2 times the total power to avoid overloading the power supply, which could cause flickering, burning out, or insufficient power, leading to issues such as dimness or color distortion.
- Cutting Specifications: The LED strip can only be cut along the designated "cut lines" marked on the strip (usually every 5-10 cm). Cutting at other points will damage the circuit, resulting in the strip not lighting up after cutting.
How to install led strip behind tv
- Prepare the Surface: Before installing the LED strip lights, make sure the surface behind the TV is clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. Wipe it down with a clean cloth to ensure a smooth surface, enhancing adhesion.
- Peel Off the 3M Tape Protection Film: Our LED strip lights for TV are backed with high-adhesion 3M adhesive. Simply peel off the protective film on the back to start using it.
- Stick the LED Strip: Carefully stick the LED strip light along the edge of the TV or at the desired location. Press down on the strip with your hands to ensure a firm attachment.
- Connect Power and Turn On: Once the strip is installed, connect the power supply and controller, and enjoy the wonderful lighting effects brought by the strip.
How to preserve led strip lights
- Avoid Overheating: LED strip lights generate heat during operation. To extend their lifespan, avoid installing them in places prone to overheating. If installed in a closed space, ensure good ventilation, or use LED strip lights with heat dissipation features (such as aluminum profiles).
- Use Matching Voltage: Ensure that the voltage and power of the power supply match the requirements of the LED strip light. Using mismatched voltage can shorten the lifespan of the strip and even cause damage.
- Avoid Excessive Bending: While LED strip lights are flexible, excessive bending can damage the internal circuits. Avoid sharp bends or excessive twisting during installation and aim to lay the strip as straight as possible.
- Moisture Protection: If LED strip lights are used outdoors or in humid environments, select waterproof models (IP65 and above). For indoor use, avoid exposing the strip directly to damp or high-humidity environments.
- Regular Cleaning: Dust and dirt can affect the brightness of LED strip lights. Gently wipe the strip with a soft cloth to remove dust, but avoid using strong acidic or alkaline cleaners to prevent damage to the surface of the strip.
