The Full Color Gamut LED Strip represents a breakthrough in lighting technology, driven by evolving market demands and a growing focus on health and color fidelity. At its core, this innovation addresses three major pain points of traditional light sources: incomplete spectrums, color distortion, and potential health hazards. The ultimate goal is to achieve lighting that mimics natural light, covers a Wide Gamut Soft LED Strip range, and balances wellness with intelligent control.
Natural light remains the original and most perfect model for illumination. Its continuous, rich spectrum shifts subtly with time, weather, and environment, shaping our circadian rhythms. Superior artificial lighting should respect these natural laws by providing a comfortable, healthy environment that aligns with our biological needs. By utilizing an Ultra-Wide CCT Adjustable LED Strip, spaces can reduce visual fatigue and enhance the overall user experience. The ultimate objective of lighting is not merely brightness or color—it is about creating a natural, relaxing, and enjoyable atmosphere.

What is Full Color Gamut?
It refers to a light that covers an exceptionally wide range of colors, perfectly "restoring" the original colors of objects. The colors are incredibly vibrant—making reds redder and greens greener—with high color saturation. It is a Full Gamut LED Flexible Strip that combines RGB, tunable white, and full spectrum technology.
You can understand it as: A full color gamut led strip = putting sunlight into a strip.
Core Objectives: Accurate color rendering, rich colors, and performance similar to a professional monitor.
If you are decorating a room, watching movies, taking photos, or displaying products, choose this Full Color Gamut LED Strip.
What is a Full Spectrum LED Strip?
A Full spectrum LED strip is an artificial LED light source that simulates the spectrum of natural sunlight. Its design goal is to bring the light close to the continuous spectrum of the sun, achieving high color rendering (CRI >95), high color fidelity, and a healthy, eye-friendly, and natural lighting effect.
You can understand it as: "An LED strip that moves sunlight indoors." If you are buying lights for reading, sleeping, or protecting your eyesight, choose a Full spectrum LED strip.
Core Objectives: Health, eye protection, and proximity to natural sunlight.

What is Full Color Temperature?
Full Color Temperature is a New LED Technology that covers all common color temperature ranges comfortable for the human eye. It is an Ultra-Wide CCT Adjustable LED Strip with a range of 1600K–12000K, far exceeding the 2700K–6500K range of traditional tunable white lights.
It not only achieves the warm and cool white light adjustments required for daily lighting, but also simulates the complete transition process from candlelight, sunset, and midday sun to high color temperature daylight on a cloudy day. It is a professional-grade linear lighting solution that more closely mimics "natural light rhythms." This Full Color Temperature LED Strip rovides a superior lighting experience.

| Features | Full Color Temperature | Full Spectrum | Full Color Gamut |
|---|---|---|---|
| What does it control? | Light warmth (Yellow / White) | Light composition (Health / Eye protection) | Light color (Real / Vibrant) |
| Common Metaphor | Remote control (Adjusting temperature) | Nutritional meal (Balanced combination) | 4K HD screen (Vibrant colors) |
| Technical Principle | Mixing cool white and warm white LED beads | Using special phosphor formulas to fill in the missing spectrum | Adding Red/Green/Blue chips to expand color coverage |
| Ideal Scenarios | Living rooms, bedrooms (Light changes with mood) | Study rooms, children's rooms (Long-term eye use) | Galleries, jewelry stores, photography (Displaying items) |
What Is DUV?
Color Deviation Δu'v' (also labeled as Duv) is the deviation between color coordinates and the target color temperature, where u and v are color coordinates and D stands for Delta, representing the difference. In professional lighting engineering terminology, the full name of Duv is Delta u'v', where u' and v' are standardized color coordinate parameters used to describe color deviation more accurately.
In the CIE 1960 color space, Duv is a parameter used to indicate the distance and direction of a color shift from the Planckian locus. By evaluating both Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) and Duv, one can more intuitively understand the complete chromaticity information of white light. Duv represents the color difference between a specific color and the point on the blackbody locus at the same color temperature, with a maximum chromaticity difference Δuv of ±0.02. For high-end applications, an Ultra-Wide CCT Adjustable LED Strip requires precise Duv control to ensure light quality.
The Meaning and Impact of DUV Values:
- DUV = 0: The color point is on the blackbody locus, meaning the light color is the most natural and closest to ideal white light.
- DUV > 0: Shifting toward Green / Yellow (cooler, greenish tint).
- DUV < 0: Shifting toward Magenta / Blue-Violet (pinkish, purplish tint).

Why is DUV Important?
- Determining if Light Color is "Pure": Even at the same 4000K, different DUV values can lead to vastly different visual perceptions.
- High-Quality White Light: When DUV is close to 0, the light is clean, natural, and free of color tints.
- Low-Quality White Light: A large DUV deviation results in a greenish or purplish tint, making the environment look "dirty" or aged, which negatively impacts displays and user experience.
- Quality and Consistency: In mass production, controlling DUV within a narrow range (e.g., ±0.005) ensures no color difference across the entire fixture or project.
- Health and Rhythms: Light that stays close to the blackbody locus (DUV ≈ 0) better mimics natural light, making it comfortable for the eyes and friendly to circadian rhythms. Excessive deviation can easily cause visual fatigue.
What is SDCM (Color Tolerance)?
SDCM (Standard Deviation of Color Matching): Measures the deviation between the light source color and the target color, focusing on color consistency and perceptible differences.
Function: It is primarily used to evaluate the color consistency of light sources, ensuring uniformity in mass production.

The following image displays the IEC and ANSI color tolerance ellipses. Two LED models, 2835 and 0302 NB1, are marked in the diagram. Their color points fall within the ellipses, indicating that their color tolerance is compliant with industry standards.
SDCM Values and Their Impact
The smaller the value, the higher the color consistency, and the harder it is for the human eye to perceive any color difference.
- SDCM ≤ 1: Ultra-high consistency, virtually indistinguishable to the human eye. Ideal for professional applications like high-end photography, museums, and color calibration spaces.
- SDCM ≤ 2: Very high consistency, where the human eye basically cannot detect color differences. Commonly used in high-end commercial lighting, hotels, and luxury retail.
- SDCM ≤ 3: The mainstream high-quality industry standard. Color differences are nearly impossible to distinguish. This is widely applied in architectural lighting, commercial spaces, and high-end Wide Gamut Soft LED Strip projects.
SDCM ≤ 3 is currently the most commonly used and balanced consistency standard in high-quality LED lighting projects, offering a perfect trade-off between visual effects and cost control.
LW Lighting's full color gamut series maintains exceptionally high color consistency across various color temperature points. In testing, some points of our Ultra-Wide CCT Adjustable LED Strip reached as low as 0.1 SDCM, while the rest of the range remained stably controlled between 0.4–0.7 SDCM. This performance far exceeds the standard SDCM ≤ 3, ensuring that color differences are invisible to the eye in practical applications. [Click here to get the full test report]
