The client, an engineering contractor from Australia, has been one of our first partners from over a decade ago.
Starting with small commercial projects, and now working on large-scale spatial designs, he has consistently trusted LW Lighting's expertise.

This time, he is undertaking a complete design renovation for an arcade, and he hopes to implement a unified DC24V power system for the entire lighting solution —covering the main gaming area, wall ambiance zones, equipment decorative lines, and ceiling light troughs.
Large-Scale Spatial LED Lighting Project

Challenge: Multiple Lighting Effects, Complex Control, and Integrated Systems
The lighting design for the arcade is of extremely high standards.
The client wants to achieve flexible switching from static white light to dynamic color effects through DMX and SPI control systems.
Additionally, different areas require different types of flexible LED strip lighting :
Furthermore, the client has put forward a number of detailed requirements:
Precise matching of light strips with extension cables and terminals; Load distribution when different power light strips share a power supply; Wiring planning for DMX and SPI signal lines; Special areas requiring UV modules to enhance the ambiance; All products must pass SAA certification and comply with Australian electrical safety standards.
This is not only a lighting upgrade but also a challenge for system integration.
Solution: Systematic Design Driven by Details
The LW Lighting engineering team formed a joint project group with the client's design and construction teams, conducting multiple rounds of confirmation and optimization, from solution design and sample testing to control logic.
"Can we synchronize the signals with DMX controlling the main area and SPI controlling the gaming devices?"
"Can the extension cables be adjusted to fit the cabinet distance?"
"Can we standardize the terminal structure for easier installation?"
To address these concerns, we optimized each point:
Providing a DC24V safe power supply system to ensure stable operation across the entire area;Optimizing the control architecture to achieve seamless integration of DMX and SPI signals;Customizing cables, terminals, and connectors for "plug-and-play" installation;Testing all light strips for color consistency and waterproofing;Fine-tuning the PCB thickness and bending radius for the neon strip lights and high brightness LED strip COB series based on installation space.
The final solution balanced visual effects, control accuracy, and installation efficiency.
Result: Making Light an Integral Part of the Game
After the project was completed, the client sent a live video:
The lighting in the main area pulses with the rhythm of the music, the neon strip lights on the walls creates distinct layers in the dim light, and the color changing tape light along the edges of the equipment outline cool contours, filling the entire space with a futuristic vibe.
